Creative Arranging and the Adaptive Mindset

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

If you’re moving beyond transcribed covers, but not quite looking for advanced arranging techniques, this is class is for you. The Adaptive Mindset is all about considering the broader arrangement process to translate a song’s most important elements into music that stands on its own as a creative work. We’ll discuss different ways to think about structuring your adaptive arrangement, focus on utilizing the strengths of the human voice, and consider how your own group’s strengths and weaknesses come into play. Explore how to thoughtfully craft your piece so performers will feel as good singing it as your audience will feel listening to it—everyone wins.
